150 Followers and Going Vegan?!?

Hi lovelies!! πŸ™‚

First off, I want to thank all of you wonderful people for following me!! I cannot believe 150+ people want to read what I have to post!! WHAT?! That is so amazing!! I never expected that at all. Thank you guys so much, it really means the world to me! I love all of you so very much ❀

Now, I realize today’s post is totally off topic and out of the beauty element, but I needed some advice. All over social media lately, more and more famous and influential people have been switching to a vegan and/or vegetarian lifestyle. I find that so amazing and I have been so inspired to do it too! But one problem…. I LOVE MEAT AND CHEESE! Ugh.. like thinking about a bacon and cheese burger right now has my mouth watering πŸ˜›

I think I could give these things up though. I’m not doing this out of the blue, for months now I have definitely considered going vegan. I have done plenty of research to know that it is amazing for your all over health. It promotes weight loss and healthier skin and nails. Not only is it amazing for your physical health, but it really helps you mentally. It’s supposed to give you energy and make you have a happier and positive attitude. (I know this isn’t true for everyone, you create your own results). My big problem with going vegan is trying to decide what to eat. I am currently in college and trying to find the right foods in dining halls is going to be extremely hard! I can definitely live just off of fruit and vegetables, but I know that can’t be good for your body. What salad dressing do I use? Where do I get my iron? My protein?

I guess I’m really just making this post to inform you guys (the lovely 150 of you<3) about my decision. If any of you are vegan or are considering going vegan as well, what do you do? What do you eat? Do you have any advice?

Okay my small little rant is over πŸ™‚ Next week I promise I will be back with a beauty related blog πŸ™‚ I love you guys so much and thank you again for 150 followers!!! Still in shock!! ❀

    Congrats on the 150 benchmark! That’s great to hear. I think veganism is difficult, but great if you’re up for the challenge. Be sure to post your progress because I’d love to hear how it’s going :). As far as where people get their protein, I think you have to be very conscious of your diet. Supplements and protein shakes, as well as tofu and peanut butter are all great sources. Good luck!

    Congrats on 150+ followers!
    I’ve been a vegetarian for my entire life (matter of choice) and it’s quite difficult to be a vegan. But if you have enough motivation anything is easy. I would try to be a vegetarian for a few weeks before going straight to veganism, it’s easier to slowly cut things out of your diet rather than quitting on everything. You will be able to have little to no fast food and putting together food will generally take longer. But there are huge payoffs! You’re so much healthier and its ten times better than a juice cleanse. The good news is you can recreate a lot of fast food items. For example we make a chipotle bowl at home and substitute in black beans which give us the protein we would need as well as yummy food. Pinterest has millions of food ideas. If your family eats non veg it can be a bit difficult but with forward planning you might get them addicted with veg food too!

    Yay for 15o+ followers!!! β˜ΊοΈβ€οΈπŸ’•πŸ˜ I am also considering going vegan and some things that have really been helping me is watching the documentaries on Netflix about the animals and just the benefits of changing your eating habits. What I am doing right now is taking it one step at a time. I’m eating all organic, gluten free foods with meat and as the week progress I am going to limit the amount of meat intake, so hopefully (fingers crossed) next week I will be completely winged off of meat products. Good luck to you, and keep us updated on your progress!!

    congrats on going Vegan! I think the best way to be successful is understanding your reason for choosing this lifestyle. It will be hard but if your clear in your mind why you did it then it will become easy!! can’t wait to read about your journey. I’m the only vegan in my circle of friends and family so the online community is my life source. i’m 107 days into my journey! it’s amazing!
